Why I'm a photographer and LOVE to do what I do!.....

So im always asked in sessions .....What made me become a photographer?? What's my favourite age to photograph? What do I love about it etc etc.

My reply is always the same....memories & moments in time that you will NEVER get back. When you look at a photo and it reminds you of how u felt at that precise time .....that is the motivation for me and why I do what I do! PLUS I love it, meeting amazing families, gorgeous newborn babies and cheeky toddlers day in day out...whats not to love!!

Its funny really as ive always taken photos, holidays with friends I always had that extra camera for that tree/that view etc. I think I get this from my Dad (thank you Dad) as he liked his cameras but to have my own business and photograph full time I honestly never even really thought about it until I had children. I fell into it, if I'm honest and haven't looked back since.

Fast forward to 2006 and having my first son, Cael, who is now 12. Apart from being overwhelmed by love and all the normal hurdles any new parent faces I just started taking photos of him, they grow up far too quickly and I didn't want to miss that! Cael was 4 months old when we moved to Germany, my husband was in the army and thats where we were sent. Ofcourse with my family/friends being back in the in the UK I took A LOT of photos to send home to everyone. Elis, my 2nd son, who is now 10, was born in Germany so ofcourse again more and more photos were being sent to relatives. I even remember my grandparents making a comment once that they only needed 1 or 2 photos of the boys not 10 plus lol! In the 3 years we lived in Germany I had numerous friends say I should take up my photography (as a job) when we returned to the UK, as it was obvious to them it was something I loved. I laughed it off to start with, as really it was just photos of my children, they were my little muses, every smile, milestone etc. As any parents I was addicted to them.....u blink and they change and I didn't want to miss anything!

We returned to the UK in 2010 and for my 30th birthday my husband bought me my first proper camera. I took an online course learning everything I could and decided I was going to start my own business. I carried on taking photos of my boys and friends children etc. People were genuinely loving the photos I was taking for them and this made me so happy. Shortly after this my husband was sent abroad for 6 months and I found out I was pregnant with my 3rd son Aiden, who is now 7, so everything was put on hold whilst I looked after my 2 boys on my own whilst being pregnant. My husband returned home and Aiden was born…. life returned to a bit of normality, I say that, with 3 children life was crazy BUT I loved it! I slowly started taking photos again and found a new passion in newborn photography, I attended my first newborn posing/safety course and fell in love all over again and knew this was something I HAD to do!

About 12 months after Aiden arrived I was given the chance to rent a space in a scanning clinic (purely by chance) and my dream of owning my own business re ignited. I didn't have any clients but I knew if I didn't give this amazing opportunity a go I would always wonder what if. Little Feet Photography was born and I guess the rest is history.

I am very proud of everything I have accomplished over the last 6 year. I have built my business up from scratch, working most weekends for the first 2 years, building my client base and knowledge by attending various courses etc, so by the time my boys were all at school I could go from part time to full time hours.

The most important thing I would like you to know when you chose me as your photographer…..my session are all lead by your newborn baby/toddlers etc. I don't want you to worry about anything when you come for your session with me. ....newborns will/have wee'd/poo'd on me, 7 month olds have laughed/cried (we all have off days) and even when it comes to capturing that perfect family photo for you...I am used to having one toddler running in one direction whilst the other is crying...been there done that with mine! I want you to enjoy the session so let me take the stress off you so you can relax and know your in experienced, safe hands.

My website provides all the information you need regarding any of my sessions, please feel free to message me if you would like any further information or wish to book in?

I look forward to working for you and capturing your growing family

Michelle x
